Isn't this precious toddler adorable wearing my handpainted shoes like a fashionista. Her mommy worked this outfit to be a perfect pairing. Painting baby shoes make wonderful gifts.

Handpainted Glitter TOMS in Silver with multicolored "Groovy" Theme.  These are mine for the holidays. They sparkle and go with everything.  I didn't think you could paint on these but the TOMS rep said that people do, so I gave it a whirl. I used fabric paint and then sprayed them with a canvas fixative. It all is good. :)

Yes, these were BLACK Converse sneakers!  I just finished painting these for Krazy Larry in NY.  My new best friend!  haha.  I promised him bright colors and these Pollack inspired shoes really do excite your eyes.  The shoes had to be whitewashed all over in order to paint on black but well worth the time involved.  I hope that Larry likes them.  Sent them off to him today. :)

Just fnished painting these red canvas Converse sneakers for Krazy Larry in NY. I love him for being so bold as to give me free reign to paint what I wanted. The only thing that he asked for is that I use bright colors.  The inspiration is Kandinsky and I think he is my favorite artist. Since I came to know of him over 30 years ago, I keep getting inspired by his work.

These are handpainted classic canvas navy TOMS. Inspired by Van Gogh's Almond Blossoms. It was painted in 1890 in France. The background paint is metallic sky blue and is painted on the out sides of the shoes. Love how the sky sparkles on these shoes!!!

I like these orange sueded espadrilles from Payless.  They are painted with a mustard gold in a Fleur de lis print and hidden birds.  Simple yet pretty!

I love these Keds Glitter Canvas Slip On Espadrilles.  They were easy to paint on and some of the glitter comes through the paint to actually be Starry Nites!

This design seems to be everyone's favorite.  I painted these for my husband. There is much more space to paint on men's shoes and because of that you can see the town more in this Starry Nite rendition.

Don't you just love these Ash Grey TOMS!!! My friend wanted them with the jewel tones colors she picked out, then I did the paisley motif over the entire shoe in silver! These shoes can be worned through out the year.

These are painted on Tan Nubucks for my new grand nephew due in September. It's hard being creative with boys designs but thought the Jungle ideas was perfect! Can you see the ants crawling in the velcro......
I painted this design on a Grey Ash TOMS. Design goes along the side as well.  Very simple but graceful. :)

Just finished painting these absolutely "Art Deco-Erte Inspired" TARGET white canvas slip ons.  These are mine. :) I wanted to keep these because it's the first time that I used stones and need to make sure they stay glued.  But also know that because the shoe was from Target, that will keep the cost down.  I think they were on sale for $16.99.  Cool, huh?

This shoe design is taken from 2 different prints that Brittany liked.  The fabric of this shoe is a "Parachute" type cotton from TOMS.  It took the paint well and I love the colors!

I also wanted to do a shoe with a cork wedge.  My sister asked me to see if it can be done. I think it looks pretty good!  So, yes, cork can be painted on.

These are my latest shoes for gifts for friends.  Girl's shoes always come out better than the boys.

These shoes are inspired by an ancient folk art painting. They are painted on a sueded Old Navy espadrille flat. I love the way the shoe took the color and its a economical way to keep the price down. What do you think?

I painted these for my daughter.  They are canvas Merona espadrilles from Target....painting inspired by Kandinsky. Although TOMS are still my favorite, their ballet flats are way too expensive.  I tried to find an alternative and think these are great for summer.

One of my favorites! Painted The Screamer on Black Canvas TOMS.  A perfect men's shoe.
Frog design painted on children's nubuck hi-top.  Baby gift for a friend.
I painted this Old Navy sueded espadrille flat recently. It was inspired by the Russian illustrator, costume designer and artist, Erte.  The price of the shoe kept the price down. Background colors can be changed.
